<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-frequency amplifier suppressed in degradation of output power and efficiency of an amplifier by suppressing switch loss in switching the amplifier. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This high-frequency amplifier includes: an input distribution circuit 7 arranged on input terminal sides of a plurality of amplifiers 3; an output synthesis circuit 8 arranged on output terminal sides of the plurality of amplifiers 3; an amplifier 4 for redundancy arranged in parallel with the plurality of amplifiers 3; an input-side switch 101 inserted between the respective amplifiers 3, 4 and the input distribution circuit 7; and an output-side switch 102 inserted between the respective amplifiers 3, 4 and the output synthesis circuit 8. The output-side switch 102 includes output synthesis circuit-side terminals connected one by one to every input terminal of the output synthesis circuit 8, and two by two amplifier-side terminals connected to the respective output terminals of the respective amplifiers 3, 4 corresponding to the one by one output synthesis circuit-side terminals.
