PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymerizable liquid crystalline composition having excellent solubility in an organic solvent, providing good liquid crystallinity and transparency after polymerization, exhibiting excellent heat resistance and orientation control, and enabling thin film formation of the obtained optically anisotropic body. SOLUTION: The polymerizable liquid crystalline composition contains one or more kinds of the polymerizable liquid crystalline compounds, for example, obtained by a reaction formula represented by the formula, and one or more kinds of polymerizable liquid crystalline compounds, for example, produceable by an esterification reaction of a benzoic acid ester having an acryloyl group with a phenol having the acryloyl group, in combination.
