摘要 PURPOSE: An electric disc brake is provided to prevent repulsive force from being transferred directly to a decelerator because a threaded shaft is not connected to the decelerator. CONSTITUTION: An electric disc brake comprises friction pads(11,12), a carrier(30), a caliper housing(20), and a pressure unit(40). The friction pads pressurize a disc(10). The carrier supports the friction pads. The caliper housing is supported on the carrier to be able to move back and forth for the pressurizing of the friction pads. The pressure unit pressurizes the friction pads. The pressure unit includes a pressure member(41), a threaded shaft(42), a motor(46), and a decelerator(60). In order to pressurize one of the friction pads, the pressure member is installed in the caliper housing to be able to move back and forth. The threaded shaft is coupled to the pressure member. The motor generates the torque in forward and backward directions. The decelerator amplifies the torque generated from the motor and transfers it to the threaded shaft. The decelerator is arranged in order to prevent the repulsive force generated in the movement direction of the pressure member from being transferred to the decelerator in the operation of the brake.
