PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily check incorrect definition/design of the number of uses of register variables in designing the register variables and in program automatic creation. SOLUTION: A register variable check device 10, which is provided to a software development support system 100 creating the design drawings of software on a GUI basis and automatically creating a program according to the design drawings, includes: a register variable limit number reading part 10F which checks the number of limits of a register usable for the register variables; and a register variable referring part 10E which notifies that the number of uses of the register variables in relation to a function defined/designed inside a system may be larger than the number of limits of the register if it happens. The device also includes: a means for setting a function to check the register variables; and a means for maintaining the notification contents of exceeding of the number of limits of the register and outputting the contents upon completion of checking of all the register variables.
