PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve that can certainly improve a valve opening response and a valve closing response. SOLUTION: The sum total of passage cross-sectional areas of communicating passages 53 for communicating an inter-core space 52 formed in a movable core 36 with a fuel passage 322 is larger than a cross-sectional area of a gap part 54 formed between an inner circumferential face part 351 of a fixed core 35 and an outer circumferential face part 271 of a stopper 27 of a needle 14.
