<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diaphragm presser for a diaphragm valve which can improve the durability of a diaphragm and the diaphragm valve equipped with this diaphragm presser. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The diaphragm presser surface of the diaphragm presser 5 is structured to be a flat surface or a smoothly curved surface at the center part 5a inside from the top end diameter of an annular valve seat 3 and a tapered surface at the peripheral edge part 5b outside from the same with a recess from a virtual surface formed by extending the center part 5a.
