<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular disc brake having simple construction allowing accurate mounting of a retainer on a torque supporting face and improving the seating of the retainer on a torque supporting piece to actualize favorable guiding of a friction pad during braking operation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A sectionally V-shaped retainer mounting recessed portion 3q is formed in the disc-radial-direction intermediate of each torque supporting face 3p. The retainer 16 has a sectionally V-shaped mounting portion 16c corresponding to the V-shaped retainer mounting recessed portion 3q, formed on the intermediate of the torque supporting piece 16a placed on the torque supporting face 3p, and the mounting portion 16c is bolted to the retainer mounting recessed portion 3q. At the opening edge of the retainer mounting recessed portion 3q, a chamfered portion 3x is provided for keep a non-contact condition between the opening edge and the retainer 16.
