The electronic closing unit has a cylindrical core (2) with a keyway (5) extended along a longitudinal axis (A). An electro-mechanically actuated bolt (4'') and a mechanically actuated bolt (4) are adjusted between locking position and release position transverse to the longitudinal axis. The mechanically actuated bolt is transferred in its release position. An independent claim is also included for a method for releasing an electronic closing unit.
