DROPLET DETECTING DEVICE AND INKJET PRINTER

Provided is an ink detecting module (100) which detects the jetting status of droplets by receiving an optical beam radiated to the flying path of the droplets jetted from a nozzle row (103) of an inkjet printer.  The ink detecting module includes a light emitting section (104) which radiates the optical beam, a light receiving section (105) which receives the radiated optical beam, and a module base (108) which integrally supports the light emitting section (104) and the light receiving section (105).  The module base (108) is provided with positioning pins (106, 107) which engage with the inkjet printer and fix the position where the module base is to be fastened to the inkjet printer, and a fastening section to be fastened to the inkjet printer.  In the state where the module base is fastened to the inkjet printer, only the positioning pins (106, 107) and the fastening section abut on the inkjet printer.
