PURPOSE: A pin type insulator and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent the damage and crack of a housing due to an external impact by forming the housing made of silicon. CONSTITUTION: A metal cap(20) is made of a stainless steel. The metal cap has an upper mounting groove, a side mounting groove, and a core fixing groove. A wire is mounted on the upper mounting groove. An insulator core(10) is made of engineering plastics. A head of the insulator core is combined with the core fixing groove. A pin bolt is mounted on the screw thread of the insulator core. A housing(30) is attached to the outer surfaces of the insulator core and the metal cap.
