<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device, method and program capable of transferring an image after performing image enlargement processing at a transfer magnification above an upper limit for the image processing device or image reduction processing at a transfer magnification below a lower limit for the image processing device. <P>SOLUTION: When an original transfer magnification X is below a lower limit Y of a transfer magnification for an image processing device 23 (image transfer unit 33), a reduction processing unit 51-1 acquires image data from a temporary area 41, performs reduction processing on the image data at a transfer magnification A, and then temporarily stores the image data in a temporary area 42 for reduction. A reduction processing unit 51-2 acquires the image data from the temporary area 42 for reduction, performs reduction processing on the image data at a transfer magnification C, and then temporarily stores the image data in an area 43 for display.
