PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage rack structure constructed according to the "free sliding" principle for storing nuclear fuel elements in a storage pool. SOLUTION: The storage rack structure 10 for storing fuel elements in a storage pool includes at least two storage racks (1.1-1.3) each including a plurality of vertical channels 9 arranged adjacently to each other for receiving the fuel elements, and positioning elements 6 are provided on the bottom of the racks. The storage racks are connected with each other at the apex. The storage rack structure 10 are further provided with one or a plurality of base plates 2.1-2.3 each having a positioning member 8 to be fitted in the positioning elements 6 of the storage racks 1.1-1.3. The positioning members determines the position of the storage racks relatively to the base plates 2.1-2.3 in cooperation with the positioning elements for preventing the storage racks from making displacement on the base plates.
