<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a moving operation with respect to a selecting position of a selection slider. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A disk changer is provided with a cartridge holding block 3000 holding a disk cartridge 226 in which a plurality of disk recording mediums 300 are stored at a first pitch in a thickness direction, disk carrying blocks 4000 and 5000 which carry the disk recording mediums, and a disk selection block 2000 for selecting the disk recording medium. Respective selecting positions where respective disk recording mediums are selected by the disk selection block are separated at a second pitch in a direction perpendicular to the thickness direction. The ratio of movement in the thickness direction of a cartridge holder per unit time to movement in the direction perpendicular to the thickness direction of the selection slider is equalized to the ratio of the first pitch to the second pitch.
