<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil fence excellent in oil retentivity and workability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The oil fence includes a float floated on a water surface, and an impermeable skirt which is attached to a lower portion of the float so as to prevent the diffusion of a suspended matter such as oil to the water surface of a river, a lake, the sea, etc. The oil fence is characterized in that a tendon is continuously provided in the extension direction of the lower end of the skirt, and a mooring rope is attached to the tendon.
