Provided is an electrochemical device wherein sealing performance can be enhanced at a part for leading out a lead terminal in an exterior film which contains an electrochemical element. An electrochemical device contains an electrochemical element (10) in a laminated exterior film (4) at least the innermost layer (41) of which is composed of heat adhesive synthetic resin and heat-seals the sealing portion (4d) of the exterior film (4), wherein the lead terminals (5, 6) connected with the electrochemical element (10) are provided with a laminated coating film (7) for a lead terminal in correspondence with the sealing portion (4d) of the exterior film (4), and the melting point of the outermost layer (73) in the coating film (7) for a lead terminal is set lower than the melting point of the innermost layer (41) of the exterior film (4).
