The method involves guiding a traction unit to a cover surface (7) of the disk and a hub (4) of the disk (1) surrounds a ball bearing over a press fit. A coating is applied as corrosion protection or sliding layer on a steel surface for preparation of the disk before a reforming process. An independent claim is also included for a disk made of steel.
