<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved control system to be used together with an electrosurgical generator. <P>SOLUTION: The electrosurgical generator includes: RF output for outputting energy to be applied to tissue; a sensor module for detecting at least one tissue property; a memory for storing at least two states configured to control the energy applied to the tissue mounted as an executable instruction; and a controller configured to send signals to the RF output so as to apply the energy to the tissue in a first state, configured to adjust the power output of the RF output during the first state to continuously achieve peak tissue conductance as a function of the at least one detected tissue property and monitor a trend of the at least one detected tissue property indicative of bubble field formation during a second state executed concurrently with the first state, and configured to interrupt a bubble field to collapse the bubble field based on the trend of the at least one detected tissue property during the second state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
