<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus and method, by which encryption keys can be set securely by means of contact communication/contactless communication with an external apparatus, and to provide a program and an information processing system. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus includes: a communication unit for communicating with an external apparatus; an operating system execution unit for executing a first operating systems for performing processing for the communication with the external apparatus via a first communication path, and a second operating system for performing processing for the communication with the external apparatus via a second communication path; and a storage including first and second data areas and a shared area for storing a first encryption key in the first data area, wherein the first operating system encrypts the communication via the first communication path by the first encryption key acquired from the external apparatus, acquires a second encryption key from the external apparatus and records it in the shared area, and the second operating system transfers the second encryption key recorded in the shared area to the second data area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
