PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation apparatus that can perform an adequate audio guidance depending presence or absence of a fellow passenger on a predetermined guidance timing. SOLUTION: When a guidance timing for performing an audio guidance has come, a CPU 41 stores a guidance content corresponding to the guidance timing into a RAM 42. The CPU 41 determines presence or absence of a fellow passenger on the basis of detection signals output from a front passenger seat weight sensor 61 and a rear passenger seat weight sensor 62. After that, the CPU 41 reads audio guidance information corresponding to the guidance content on the guidance timing from an audio guidance table 71 on the basis of the presence or absence of the fellow passenger so as to perform an audio guidance of the audio guidance information via a speaker 16.
