<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal head in which adhesion between a common electrode and a heating resistor is sufficiently excellent, and a Pb content is sufficiently reduced. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The thermal head 5 includes: a substrate 7; a glaze layer 3 provided on the substrate 7; a common electrode 4 provided on the glaze layer 3; a heating resistor 1 provided on the common electrode 4 and the glaze layer 3; and lead electrodes 2a, 2b provided on the heating resistor 1. The common electrode 4 comprises: an electric conduction material made of a metal; and a glass frit. The glass frit comprises, by mass, 15 to 35% ZnO, 14 to 34% SiO<SB>2</SB>, 2 to 25% Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 2 to 15% TiO<SB>2</SB>, 5 to 25% CaO and 7 to 27% BaO. Ž<P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT Ž
