<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for which a serviceman carrying a terminal device with him/her can repair or maintain immediately after arriving at a job site. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 is provided which is connectable with a terminal device 300 over a network. The image forming apparatus 1 includes: a communication unit 122; a storage unit 109 for storing first information; a generation means 1011 for generating second information on trouble when the trouble occurs in each unit of the image forming apparatus 1; a transfer means 1012 for transferring the first information stored in the storage unit 109 to another storage unit 194; and a communication control means 1013 for transmitting the second information to the terminal device 300 via the communication unit 122 when the transfer is completed.
