<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase an earthquake-resistant strength of a building having the insufficient earthquake-resistant strength. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The construction method increases the earthquake-resistant strength of the building or the like, which is proved to have the insufficient earthquake-resistant strength after the construction, at a low cost. For the building formerly constructed with the insufficient earthquake-resistant strength, steel frames or reinforcements are extended around the outer walls of the original building, so as to surround the building. Before that, any portion of the outer walls of the original building contacting the steel frames or the reinforcements are cut out, and the steel frames or the reinforcements are partially embedded thereto.
