PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyamide resin composition that costs low, exhibits excellent gas barrier properties and forms little amount of gel-like substances. SOLUTION: The polyamide resin composition is obtained by mixing a polyamide (X) obtained by melt polycondensating diamines comprising metaxylylenediamine and dicarboxylic acids comprising adipic acid which has a mineral acid concentration of at most 20 ppm in the presence of a phosphorus atom-containing compound (A) and an alkali metal compound (B), with at least one carboxylic acid salt (C) selected from among sodium acetate, calcium acetate, magnesium acetate, calcium stearate, magnesium stearate, sodium stearate and derivatives thereof in a concentration of 400-10,000 ppm.
