<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aluminum titanate-based ceramic such as aluminum titanate and aluminum magnesium titanate having excellent thermal decomposition resistance and a lower thermal expansion coefficient. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the aluminum titanate-based ceramic comprises firing a raw material mixture containing a titanium source compound, an aluminum source compound, and preferably a magnesium source compound, and a glass frit having a yield point of not less than 700°C and/or a viscosity at 900°C of not less than 1.0×10<SP>6</SP>poises. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
