<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing β-lactams by which the decomposition of a [2+2]cyclic adduct (the β-lactams) can be prevented in higher degree. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the β-lactams includes joining a first raw material liquid containing olefins, with a second raw material liquid containing sulfonyl isocyanates represented by general formula (2): XSO<SB>2</SB>NCO, further joining the first raw material liquid and the second raw material liquid with the joined flow each at least at one time and continuously feeding the obtained finally joined liquid to a pipe reactor to continuously produce N-sulfonyl-β-lactams represented by general formula (3). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
