<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To limit thermal expansion to each section, by reducing the thermal expansion of rings as a whole by dividing the end rings into a plurality of sections. <P>SOLUTION: A rotor 10 for an inductor motor or an induction generator has a first end ring 12. The first ring is connected to a first hub portion 24 by first spokes 30a, and so on. The rotor also has a second end ring, and the second ring 14 is connected to a second hub portion 24' by second spokes 30a', and so on. The first end ring is fixed to a core 18. The second end ring is rotated by a predetermined dimension, to prevent the first spokes from being aligned in position with the second spokes. The second end ring is connected to the first end ring and the core. The core, the first end ring and the second end ring form a base material.
