<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of joining resin to aluminum, allowing easy joining while having sufficient joint strength, and a method of manufacturing a liquid-cooled jacket. <P>SOLUTION: A resin member 2 and a metal member (an aluminum alloy member) 3 are overlapped, and then a rotating fiction-agitation tool G is pressed from the metal member 3 side to join both members by frictional heat. In this joining method, the resin member 2 is welded to the metal member 3 as the temperature drops after the resin is melted by the frictional heat.
