PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a toner particle for removing an organic volatile component in a short period of time in order to reduce damage to a toner and satisfactorily reducing the organic volatile component, in the method of manufacturing the toner particle using a polymerization method. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the toner particle is characterized in that, in a volatile component removing process, a toner particle dispersion liquid is drawn out of a vaporization vessel 3 having an external circulation path 9 and, thereafter, returned to the vessel through the external circulation path 9 to circulate the toner particle dispersion liquid wherein a saturated water vapor of 100°C or higher is charged into the circulation path and directly brought into contact with the toner particle dispersion liquid to heat the toner particle dispersion liquid.
