<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm generating apparatus for a vehicle that is capable of generating appropriate alarms even for safety zones and compartment lines with wide widths. <P>SOLUTION: If a boundary road sign is a wide width boundary sign (S140: YES), a first type alarm is generated when there is a possibility of deviation from the own lane (S150: YES, S160-S200), and a second type alarm is generated when there is a possibility of invasion passing through the boundary road sign (S150: NO, S210-S260). Further, the second type alarm to be generated at a scene with a higher degree of danger is set so as to be an alarm (i.e., a stronger alarm) in a manner allowing a driver to recognize the degree of danger more strongly than the first type alarm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
