PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing toner having sharp grain size distribution necessary for obtaining an image of high picture quality, and also to provide a method of efficiently producing the toner having sharp grain size distribution with small equipment. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the toner includes an emulsion dispersion step of supplying a solution or a dispersion liquid, which is prepared by dissolving or dispersing at least a binder resin, a colorant and a release agent in an organic solvent, and an aqueous medium to a shear means and applying shear force to the mixture liquid of the oil phase and the aqueous medium so as to continuously obtain an emulsion dispersion liquid. In the method of manufacturing the toner, the shear means is a thin film rotary emulsifying machine, and the solution or dispersion liquid and the aqueous medium are supplied to the shear means through a liquid feed part having a double-pipe structure comprising a center part and an outside part disposed in the outer periphery of the center part.
