摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an invisible enclosure of low loss by forming the invisible enclosure with metamaterial that does not use metal and eliminating metal-induced loss in the vicinity of a resonance frequency. SOLUTION: The cylindrical enclosure 1 is constituted of metamaterial and provided with a cavity inside. In the metamaterial, a plurality of plate-shaped dielectric disk resonators are arranged in such a manner that the normal directions of flat surfaces thereof face the radial direction of the cylinder of the enclosure. In addition, in the metamaterial, the thickness of the dielectric disk resonators is changed in accordance with the radius of the cylinder of the enclosure, and the effective relative magnetic permeability of the metamaterial in a radial direction is a value that sequentially increases in accordance with the radius of the cylinder of the enclosure so as to be zero at the innermost circumference of the enclosure and a predetermined value smaller than one at the outermost circumference.
