<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide efficient constitution which can be positioned in the longitudinal direction and the rotating direction for a large work load, in which a work platform and a supporting boom are precisely positioned, and which can be stored on a support structure normally serving as a mobile wheel traveling vehicle while being moved to different work places. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This apparatus elevates, and laterally and rotationally positions the aerial work platform relative to the support structure such as the mobile vehicle. A platform supporting carriage is mounted for sliding movement along a support beam affixed to the boom, and the platform is mounted on the carriage permitting the rotation of the platform about a substantially vertical axis.
