摘要 <p>The method for increasing wear resistance of a steel mandrel (1) of an autofrettage device, comprises sealing a workpiece (2) to be autofretted by a contact surface (4) of the autofrettage device, and obtaining the mandrel having hardness degree of 46-54 HRC, by heat treatment. The hardness of the hardened contact surface is adjusted to 54 HRC by laser radiation hardening or the hardened contact surface is equipped with a nitride primer. A physical vapor deposition (PVD) coating having a hardness of 1000-3000 HV is applied on the nitride primer. The method for increasing wear resistance of a steel mandrel (1) of an autofrettage device, comprises sealing a workpiece (2) to be autofretted by a contact surface (4) of the autofrettage device, and obtaining the mandrel having hardness degree of 46-54 HRC, by heat treatment. The hardness of the hardened contact surface is adjusted to 54 HRC by laser radiation hardening or the hardened contact surface is equipped with a nitride primer. A physical vapor deposition (PVD) coating having a hardness of 1000-3000 HV is applied on the nitride primer. The hardness degree from 46 to 48 HRC is adjusted by the heat treatment. Before the heat treatment, a channel (3) extending through the mandrel in longitudinal direction is produced by deep hole drilling. An independent claim is included for the steel mandrel as a component of an autofrettage device.</p>
