<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate dot interference that occurs when converting a composite signal into a component signal. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A video signal processor comprises: a dot interference elimination means (3) which inputs two signals with a time difference in frames and eliminates an interference component by performing filtering arithmetic operation; and a dot component elimination motion detecting means (4) which further inputs a third signal in addition to the two signals with the time difference in frames with the same time difference and detects a motion signal excluding the interference component. In the case of a motion signal that is not the interference component is determined by a detecting signal of the dot component elimination motion detecting means (4), filtering arithmetic operation is not performed at the dot interference elimination means but in the case of a still signal or the interference component, filtering arithmetic operation is performed at the dot interference elimination means.
