<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a phthalocyanine-based pigment crude product of high purity while stably reducing environment load. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method for the phthalocyanine-based pigment composition, it is synthesized using (1) urea or a carbonic acid-based ammonium salt or ammonia as a nitrogen source, (2) phthalic acids or phthalic anhydrides or phthalimides as a carbon skeleton source and (3) a central cation source as raw materials. The manufacturing method for the phthalocyanine-based pigment crude product includes a step of inducing a nitrogen source-containing gas generated during manufacturing and capturing the nitrogen source in the gas in a cooling capturing vessel as the carbonic acid-based ammonium salt.
