<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing conveying belt that provides a highly reliable belt in which troubles arising from the welded portion is prevented, and the conveying belt. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This method is the method of manufacturing a conveying belt that conveys an object to be conveyed. A base 50, which is the body of the conveying belt, is joined by use of a weld member 54. After the joining step, a coating film for processing is applied over at least the weld member 54 on a surface 50a on one side of the base 50. The coating film for processing is dried while a tensile load is applied to the base 50 which has been applied with the coating film for processing.
