<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle, capable of rapidly raising the temperature of engine cooling water when heating the inside of a cabin using the engine cooling water at an engine start initial time when an outside air temperature is low, in a simple constitution. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the air conditioner, a heat exchange means for water includes a heat exchanger 26 for water to circulate the engine cooling water between a water jacket and a heater core 8a.
