PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to accurately, easily and speedily photograph himself/herself as a subject while taking a mobile terminal in his/her hand regardless of a shape of the terminal. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a mobile terminal comprising a photographing unit for photographing a subject. The mobile terminal further includes: an image processing unit for recognizing a face image of the subject; a control unit for discriminating whether or not overall face images are recognized as the designated number of persons and specifying such a moving direction of the mobile terminal as to settle the overall face images within a photographing range of the photographing unit while using any other image than the face images in the case where the overall face images are not recognized; and a direction instruction unit for instructing the moving direction of the mobile terminal to a subject user.
