<p>PURPOSE: A wind power generation system is provided to generate electricity from weak wind through guide plates which are installed on the stories of a power generation tower. CONSTITUTION: A wind power generation system comprises a power generation tower(10), a vertical windmill(20), a generator, a guide gate(40), and a controller. The power generation tower is composed of one or multiple stories, each on which a circular rail is formed. The vertical windmill is supported with a rotary shaft inside each story of the power generation tower. The generator is installed in the power generation tower and transmitted with the torque through an input shaft connected to the rotary shaft of windmill to generate electricity. In the guide gate, a supporter is supported on a rail, a pair of guide plates are connected to the supporter, an entrance for leading wind to the power generation tower at the connection part, the supporter and the guide plates revolve around the power generation tower, and a follow-up drive motor for rotating the supporter is provided. The controller measures the direction of wind and drives the follow-up drive motor in order to rotate the guide plates to follow the direction of the wind.</p> |
