PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a method for driving the same are provided to reduce luminance variation by inserting switches into analog buffer circuits and source signal lines. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display device comprises a plurality of source signal lines(S1-S7), a plurality of gate signal lines, a plurality of pixels and a source signal line driving circuit for driving the source signal lines on an insulation substrate. The source signal line driving circuit has a plurality of analog buffer circuits. The switching circuits are provided between the analog buffer circuits and the source signal lines. Analog buffer circuits(131-137) connected to the source signal lines are periodically switched every new period.
