<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a cutting blade member of a cutting tool from a green compact obtained by compacting raw material powder at extremely high precision even in the cutting blade member of a cutting tool with a more complicated shape. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Using a compacting die provided with a plurality of main punches 11, 12 relatively separated/approached so as to face each other and a die 13 arranged so as to surround the main punches 11, 12 which have been approached, raw material powder charged to a cavity 14 defined between the approached main punches 11, 12 is compressed so as to compact a green compact to be produced into the cutting blade member of a cutting tool, the die 13 is provided with accessory punches 15 separated/approached to the cavity 14 from a direction different from the separation/approach direction of the main punches 11, 12, and the raw material powder is compressed by the approach of the accessory punches 15 toward the cavity 14 and the approach of the main punches 11, 12 to each other.
