<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch for attaining a long lifetime by suppressing low an effect of deterioration with the passage of time. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Accompanied with the moving operation of an operating part 13 provided in the switch 10, movable side electrode plates 16A, 17A on the operating part 13 side approach or separate from fixed side electrode plates 16B, 17B on a base part 11 side, and an opposed area between the electrode plates 16A, 17A and the electrode plates 16B, 17B changes, and based on this change, electrostatic capacity changes occur in the fixed side electrode plates 16B, 17B, and an operation signal corresponding to the operation of the operating part 13 is formed.
