PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing crystalline titanium dioxide powder is provided to control the size and shape of particles using a hydrothermal synthesis method and to manufacture titanium dioxide primary particles having excellent crystalline and the titanium dioxide powder having superior properties. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing crystalline titanium dioxide powder comprises the following steps: manufacturing a titanyl chloride(TiOCl_2) solution by adding titanium tetrachloride(TiCl_4) to water having a temperature of 0-10 °C; manufacturing a mixture by adding alcohol, urea, and a spheronizing agent to the titanyl chloride solution; and reacting the mixture using a hydrothermal synthesis method at 1.5-5 pressure(atm) and 80-155 °C for 4-7 hours. The titanyl chloride solution has a concentration of titanium ion of 0.4-0.8 M. |
