<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress misregistration and to improve printing quality by accurately detecting variation of traveling speed of printing paper in a printer and a printing method. <P>SOLUTION: In the printer, first and second guide rollers 21 and 22 guiding traveling of a web are disposed at a predetermined interval in a traveling direction of a web, and also a driving roller 25 conveying the web W is disposed on a downstream side of the second guide roller 22, then four printing heads 31, 32, 33 and 34 are disposed along in the traveling direction of the web W to be opposed to the web W guided between the first and second guide rollers 21 and 22. The printer is provided with a rotary encoder 36 detecting the traveling speed of the web W on a more downstream side than the printing heads 31, 32, 33 and 34, and provided with a controller 38 controlling a printing period by the printing heads 31, 32, 33 and 34 based on a result of detection by the rotary encoder 36. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
