<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a tubular member, improving productivity while maintaining manufacturing quality. <P>SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a common rail 100 including a fuel flow path 101 formed by walls 23, 23a, 33, on at least a part of which compressive residual stress is imposed, comprises an insertion step of inserting an occupancy member 70 into the fuel flow path 101 for occupying at least a part of a capacity of the fuel flow path 101, a filling step of filling oil 72 for transmitting pressure in the fuel flow path 101 inserted with the occupancy member 70 in the insertion step and sealing the fuel flow path, and a pressurization step of applying pressure to the oil 72 filled in the filling step and generating the compressive residual stress in the wall 23a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
