<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a compound-eye imaging apparatus preventing degradation of the image quality of a composite image obtained by combining images of both imaging elements with each other when exposure times of the respective imaging elements are different from each other, in a compound-eye imaging apparatus having a plurality of imaging elements; and an imaging control method in the compound-eye imaging apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In the compound-eye imaging mode in which photographing is carried out using both a first imaging system 12-1 and a second imaging system 12-2, the exposure period P1 of a first imaging element 26-1 is set at a period shorter than the exposure time P2 of a second imaging element 26-1 in accordance with the difference between the characteristic of the first imaging system 12-1 and that of the second imaging system 12-2. A CPU 14 divides the exposure time P1 of the first imaging system 12-1 short in the exposure time into a plurality of times to be evenly allocated to the exposure period P2 of the second imaging system 12-2. The CPU 14 allocates exposure periods P11, P12, P13, P14 so that exposure start times TS and exposure end times TE of the first imaging element 26-1 and the second imaging element 26-2 coincide with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
