LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which prevents an increase in the thickness of a frame member making up a backlight to reduce the thickness of the display device and secure sufficient insulating properties.

SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal display panel and the backlight disposed on the back of the liquid crystal display panel. The backlight has the frame member DFR in a rectangular box shape, a plurality of fluorescent tubes FL each disposed in the frame member DFR and having electrodes on both ends of the fluorescent tube FL, first and second lamp cables CB1 and CB 2 for supplying power for lighting to the fluorescent tubes FL, and a cable guide CG which is disposed along an internal long side end of the frame member DFR and holds the first and second lamp cables CB1 and CB2. The cable guide CG has a first opening for extracting the first and second lamp cables CB1 and CB2; and the frame member DFR has a second opening for leading the first and second lamp cables CB1 and CB2 extracted from the cable guide CG out of the frame member DFR.
