PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy spacer which does not have alumite film while being securable good flatness of an aluminum alloy blank, and does not stick fast to an aluminum alloy blank at stacking and annealing time and to provide a manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: The aluminum alloy spacer is used in order to correct flatness of the aluminum alloy blank for magnetic disks. The flatness of the aluminum alloy spacer is 2μm or less, and a bearing ratio of the surface of the aluminum alloy spacer from a maximum height of projection formed by roughening to a depth of 2μm is 30% or less.
