PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrooptical device such as a liquid crystal device that performs high-quality image display by increasing a capacitance value per unit area of a storage capacitance and decreasing faulty alignment of an electrooptical substance, for example, such as a liquid crystal. SOLUTION: The electrooptical device includes a pixel electrode (9), an alignment film (16) formed on the pixel electrode, and a capacitive electrode (71) opposed to the pixel electrode through a dielectric film on a base layer side of the pixel electrode on a substrate (10).
