摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive having an appropriate crystallinity and good solubility in an organic solvent, excellent in heat resistance and adhesiveness, and generating less volatile organic compound. SOLUTION: The polyester block copolymer for adhesive materials includes an aromatic polyester segment (A) and an aromatic polyester segment (B), wherein (a) the aromatic polyester segment (A) includes a dicarboxylic acid unit which comprises≥20 mol% of a terephthalic acid and a diol unit which comprises≥50 mol% of butanediol and/or hexanediol; (b) the aromatic polyester segment (B) includes a dicarboxylic acid unit comprising≥20 mol% of an isophthalic acid and≥20 mol% of a straight-chain aliphatic dicarboxylic acid and a diol unit comprising≥50 mol% of butanediol; the glass transition temperature is <-10°C measured according to JIS-K7121; and formula (I) is satisfied. In the formula, Tr is a retention time [h] at 25°C, during which time the polyester, which is heated to 150°C and molten, and solidified by rapid cooling, is kept at 25°C until it recrystallizes; Q is the heat [J/g] of fusion of the crystal, with the proviso that Q≤10, 0.016≤Tr≤10.
